求助，关于OnAfterDraw事件的定义

在ao的《Getting Started wiyh the Map Control Using Visual Basic》文档的例子中，对Mapcontrol的OnAfterDraw事件定义是：
Private Sub MapControl1_OnAfterDraw(ByVal display As esriCore.IDisplay, ByVal phase As esriCore.esriViewDrawPhase)，可使用该定义导致参数不匹配。
  而ArcObjects Developer Help中的定义又是：
Private Sub MapControl1_OnAfterDraw(ByVal display As Variant, ByVal viewDrawPhase As Long)

我有引用ESRI object Library，请教高手这是为什么，不会是写错了吧
